The Cincinnati Business Incubator (CBI) is the only local business incubator that focuses on the needs of small Empowerment Zone and women-owned businesses. We emphasize support for firms in the architecture, engineering and construction-related industries.

We’re a dynamic, self-empowering organization created to help people help themselves, specifically if you are a woman or minority who owns a small business or is considering taking the entrepreneurial plunge. We operate within the City of Cincinnati with a particular emphasis on the Empowerment Zone, located in the nine neighborhoods of Avondale, Corryville, Evanston, Fairview/Clifton Heights, Mount Auburn, Over-the-Rhine, Queensgate, Walnut Hills and the West End.

We are a business incubator. That means we’re not here to squeeze the cherished cash-flow of our clients. We exist solely to help people from diverse backgrounds deal with business issues big and small, from marketing plans and letterhead to e-mails, web sites and financial resources.

With CBI's unique location within Cincinnati's Empowerment Zone, we can triple your chances of success, by providing access to targeted tax incentives, loans and federally-supported business programs all within a supportive and friendly business environment.

We serve clients from all walks of life and every corner of the business community, from a taxi service and janitorial firm to a nationally-recognized specialty retailer. All of them have similar needs. Our mission is to help meet those needs, get questions answered and you on the road to profitability, financial independence and success in the complex, challenging and ever-changing world of industry.

Our most effective means of delivering solutions is our Entrepreneurial Training Institute. The ETI offers valuable training and expertise through workshops focusing on Creating a Profit, Business Skills and Building a Profit.
